Hey, swinging back by to mention how good that documentary was! Especially the call-in part where that woman reminded the host not to forget about all the women who helped, too!

I worked with a guy whose uncle ran a pool room and grille in Vanceburg Kentucky. He told me about his uncle showing him the 1937 high water mark in that building. He also said that his uncle would fry up squirrels and rabbits that the local customers brought in.

That was downriver from Parkersburg so it must have been an inch or two higher.

That bit about the squirrels and rabbits makes my day, Phil. My father-in-law (RIP) brought a shotgun to college and hunted his breakfast back in the day.
